Two friends and I have been having breakfast one morning a week (Monday or Tuesday) for over three years.
The food is great; the waitresses are endearing and sassy; the cashier looks about 48 years old but claims to have worked at Red's for 118 years. And we tried three other places before settling in at Red's because that's da place.

OOps, I left out mention of the food. It is fresh, tasty, well presented and abundant. The cooks, in plain sight, must like their jobs.
And by the way, sassy means "can make and take a joke, give one back and be nice to a sometimes wisecracking and less than funny (sometimes) old geezer."
We came down from Maine for a break- vacation etc... Reds was recommended as "the" place....OMG what a score. Great food/menu, great service, great atmosphere.....we WILL be back. Just what we were looking for. Yum.

For as long as I can remember my family and I have been going to Red's for sometime at least once every 1-2 months!!! I moved From Salem to Virginia and atleast once a month I would crave the best breakfast ever! Everytime I go back to Salem, we go to Red's for breakfast! I have not found a better place for breakfast and I probably never will!
I live in Buffalo NY. and have been coming to Salem since 07.Each time I visit your Sandwich Shop is a MUST!! Your breakfasts are amazingly good. Never have I seen pancakes soooooooo huge,no wonder the waitress asked me if I wanted 1,2,or 3. I also ordered your crab cake sandwich for lunch,and I couldn't believe how large and wonderful tasting it was!!! Coming back this July round the 24th and I cannot wait to stop back in!!!!

My wife and I have been traveling to Salem for the last twelve years, sometimes twice a year.
Red's is always our destination for breakfast upon arrivng.
The pancakes are the biggest anywhere and it is always a pleasure bringing friends for the first time and watch their reaction to the huge stack of lucscious pancakes.
The waitresses are always friendly making the place feel like you just cme home.

Oh My gosh......... I loooove Red's.. I haven't been "home" for some time now, but Red's holds a deep place in my heart always.. such incredible breakfasts !!! Memories.. are wonderful :)
There are no words to describe the fantastic service, abundance and taste of food, and wonderful atmosphere of Red's! My family and I were visiting from MN and went there on a reccomendation from a family member and we were not disappointed! The foot long hot dogs eatten by my son and nephew will offer many memories in the years to come! We will be back from MN next year and look forward to eating at Red's again!

Not only breakfast! My friends and I have enjoyed tasteful fish and shrimp at lunch last october, one and half week before Halloween. The place is fantastic, the owner, Mr. Drivas, is a great host, and everything was marvelous at Red's. I live in Brazil and I hope I'll have another opportunity to go there!
